Excellent article. Worked great, sped up my...</title><content type='html'>Dipin&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Excellent article. Worked great, sped up my boot noticeably. I had done this with a previous Ubuntu on different hardware and was very happy with what it did. So I thought I would do it again on my new hardware.  Worked so well that now my machine tries to load the login before the Nvidia driver has finished initializing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So the only thing that comes up is the select low resolution screen. I tried reconfiguring and ultimately gave up and after about the sixth try just went through it to the CLI login. After logging in I ran the &amp;#39;startx&amp;quot; command and voila!
